November 2008 - The city of Phoenix has a Summit Challenge every year where hikers have a choice of hiking 4 or 7 local mountain peaks. We did the 4 peak challenge this year as the 7 peak was sold out when we registered. The mountains we hiked are Papago, Lookout, Shaw Butte, & North Mountain (by far not the toughest mountains in the area but a great work out). We finished the challenge in the top 15!
